Dr. D'Alessandro
Dr. Michelle D'Alessandro joined the medical team at Westfield Animal Hospital in June 2024. Michelle was born and raised in Colonia, NJ. She earned a bachelor's degree in Biology at The University of Scranton in 2020, continuing her education at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she became Fear Free Certified and discovered an interest in animal behavior and nutrition.
During her time in veterinary school, Michelle embarked on global adventures, working with wildlife conservation programs in countries such as South Africa and Costa Rica. This love for wildlife translated into an interest in exotic medicine, and so Michelle took courses and gained skill sets to help care for all animals including: reptiles, amphibians, birds, and small mammals. Michelle is passionate about client education and committed to ensuring the best possible care for your pets.
Beyond her professional life, Michelle, along with her family and dog, Oswald, love exploring breweries and spending the day at the beach.
